Web hosting provider HostRocket announced on Thursday that Brendan Brader, CEO of HostRocket and VoIP provider ViaTalk has been named to the “40 Under Forty” list of emerging business leaders by The Business Review.

Along with his longtime friend John Reyes, Brader co-founded HostRocket in 1999 at the age of 19. The Web host has grown into a debt-free multi-million dollar company, and currently hosts over 100,000 Web sites. HostRocket’s servers are located on-site at its corporate offices. In 2005, the HostRocket team launched sister company ViaTalk. It quickly became a top national Internet phone service provider with customers in 2,200 markets in all 50 states.

The two companies are headquartered in different buildings at the same corporate office park. Brader says he divides his time between the two companies, spending the morning at ViaTalk and the afternoon and late evenings at HostRocket.

“I am proud that HostRocket.com has become the industry standard when it comes to providing high level customer service and tech support, and a wide variety of features at a low cost,” says Brader. “ViaTalk is a rapidly growing internet phone service company known for our customer support, low prices, and inclusion of many features that would easily cost hundreds of dollars per year.”

Voice over Internet protocol phone service provider ViaTalk announced on Thursday it has launched a holiday promotion, offering new ViaTalk customers a free year of telephone service when they pay for the first year of service in advance.

ViaTalk was launched in 2005 by Brendan Brader, CEO of Web hosting company HostRocket.

“It seems too good to be true, but as a thank you to our new customers this holiday season we are giving away two years of our service for the price of one,” says Brader. “This is sure to be one of the best bargains this holiday season – better phone service, unlimited long distance to make all your holiday calls, and at a fraction of the cost of what you are paying now.”

The offer is open to new customers who have not had ViaTalk within the past 60 days. And the ViaTalk lines are subject to the monthly FCC mandated E-911 fee as well as a monthly regulatory recovery fee.

Web hosting provider HostRocket and its sister company ViaTalk announced on Monday it has sponsored the US FIRST robotics team at Clifton Park, New York-based Shenendehowa High School for the third year in a row with a $20,000 cash donation.

Since 2004, HostRocket has contributed more than $60,000 in cash to the organization. Additionally, many HostRocket and ViaTalk employees have devoted time to serving as mentors for the program throughout all three seasons.

Company executives Brendan Brader and John Reyes participated in the program years ago when attending Shenendehowa High School before graduating in 1999 and founding HostRocket.

“HostRocket and ViaTalk are both incredibly fortunate to have been blessed with the massive levels of success that we have been,” says Timothy Dick, HostRocket and ViaTalk VP of operations. “For that reason, we are proud to give back to our community and serve as good corporate citizens of the Capital Region.”
