Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with search engine giant Google for a new effort to integrate Google Webmaster Tools into its customers’ Web hosting accounts.

With Google Webmaster Tools, Go Daddy says its users are now able to see how Google views their site, diagnoses problems and shares information with Google in order to improve their site’s visibility in search results. This service, combined with Go Daddy’s Sitemap Editor, provides a free and easy way for website owners to manage and improve traffic to their site, says the company.

Once setup, Go Daddy will automatically submit sitemaps to Google on behalf of its customers. Sitemaps inform Google about new Web pages or updates to a customer’s site and help to increase their coverage of Web pages in Google’s index.

“Go Daddy is a leading innovator in the Web hosting space and through our partnership, we hope to educate more Webmasters on how to effectively make their site more search engine-friendly,” says Bill Brougher, Google Group product manager. “Google Webmaster Tools was designed as a useful resource for site owners to get up-to-date information on how their site is performing. This partnership ultimately helps Google to improve the Web by increasing the comprehensiveness and freshness of the content people seek.”

Web solutions provider Network Solutions, along with search engine provider Google, announced on Monday they will offer a Webinar entitled “Discover a New Audience with Pay-Per-Click” on July 26 at 2 p.m. EDT.

The Webinar will be moderated by Lara Mehanna from the online marketing team at Network Solutions, and Lauren Frandsen of Google AdWords. Aimed at business owners who may not understand the importance of a pay per click company in an online marketing campaign, the moderators will distinguish the differences between PPC and organic search marketing, instruct how to promote a business online, show users how to gain targeted leads while improving click-to-close rates and highlight the advantages of PPC in measuring the methods of delivery from search engine to site.

“In conjunction with Google, we intend to use this Webinar to showcase what pay per click advertising is, and how small to medium-sized businesses can use a pay-per-click company to help drive traffic to their Web site,” says Jeff Zimmerman, VP of product marketing and management with Network Solutions.

The Webinar will also highlight the benefits of using the services of a pay per click company, instead of managing online advertising in-house.

Search engine giant Google announced on Friday it is now offering .com, .org, .net, .biz, and .info domain names for $10 a year.

The domain names are for use with Google Apps for Your Domain, a free hosting service aimed towards small businesses. The service offers Web sites, email, instant messaging and shared calendars, all personalized with the business’ name and logo.

Users will retain full control of their domain settings, enabling them to use the domain with non-Google services.

Google has partnered with Go Daddy and eNom for domain registration services, while the registration process has been integrated in the Google Apps for Your Domain set up process. Google says the process includes “private registration to protect your personal information”.
