Web hosting provider Web.com announced on Tuesday its results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended December 31, 2006.

According to results, total revenues for the quarter were $12.5 million, up from $12.3 million in the third quarter of 2006, making the total revenue for the year sit at approximately $49.1 million. Net loss for the quarter was $2.0 million, or $0.13 per share, versus a loss of $0.6 million, or $0.04 per share, in the quarter ended September 2006. In addition, net subscribers totaled approximately 155,000 up approximately 3,000 from about 152,000 at September 30, 2006.

“Web.com spent 2006 stabilizing the business, implementing cost controls and developing a highly-scalable growth engine,” says Jeff Stibel, president and CEO of Web.com. “This quarter represents another period of strong organic revenue and subscriber growth. I am particularly excited to announce that average revenue per user also grew this quarter and look forward to leveraging our business model further.”
