Domain registrar Register.com announced on Monday that it has launched several initiatives in honor of National Small Business Week, which runs from April 21 to 25.
“We work with almost a million small business customers every year and we have seen that many of them are turning tough economic times into opportunities for growth by creating or expanding their Web efforts,” says Larry Kutscher, CEO of Register.com.
Register.com says it will be offering a 15 percent discount from April 21 to 27 on new domain names or on any of its professional services. Customers need to mention the invitation code 15forSmallBiz to take advantage of the limited-time offer, says the company.
Throughout Small Business Week, Register.com will also be providing commentary and editorials on a daily basis, highlighted by Kutscher’s “5 Web Tips Every Small Business Owner Should Know,” meant to provide vision, provoke thought, and stimulate growth for the small business community, says the company.
“The Web has experienced record growth over the past three years,” says Kutscher. “Still, only about half of the small businesses in the US have a website and those without a site are missing opportunities. This is why we’re doing some special things during small business week, to encourage small businesses to make the move to the Web today.”
Register.com has added several new articles to its Small Business Learning Center to share information on how small businesses can succeed online. Some of the articles include tips on “How the Web can Improve Sales,” “Improving Your E-commerce Revenue” and “Earn Commissions while Affiliating with Winners.”
