Web hosting provider Layered Technologies announced on Tuesday it has launched a new gaming control panel, xCommand, under its gaming server division LayeredX.

xComm is a Web-based user interface that allows complete and flexible control of every aspect of a gaming server. Some of its features include the ability to install a game server, configure and control it and then erase it on demand from one’s Web browser, an integrated FTP server that enables easy file management for clients and automated server restarting. xComm’s “At a Glance” page offers multi-server control from one login and one screen, enabling users to oversee and manage all their dedicated servers and games.

“xComm truly sets LayeredX apart from others in the marketplace,” says Todd Abrams, president of Layered Technologies. “xComm is one of the few complete game hosting management systems available on the market today, allowing current resellers to confidently make the leap into game hosting, and attracting gamers, clans and communities with its simplistic features and ease of use.”

Many other gaming control panels run from the gaming server, causing lag, skips, and other performance issues gamers notice. Layered Technologies says that with XComm, users will experience zero performance issues from server manipulation because it doesn’t run from the dedicated gaming server itself, but from the LayeredX core network.
