Web hosting provider Host Gator announced on Wednesday it has launched a new widget that enables Web site and blog owners to have visitors rate how fast their Web sites are loading.

Host Gator says the widget is available free of charge and site owners can use it by cutting and pasting a piece of HTML code into their Web sites.

With the widget installed, site owners can see the rating results, as voted by their site visitors and view a map indicating where all its visitors are logging on to the site from.

“This simple tool gives our hosting customers valuable insight into their Web site’s performance,” says Brent Oxley, president and founder of Host Gator. “We are always looking for ways to add value to each and every hosting account we sell and this is just another example of how we do that.
