Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Host Department announced on Thursday it is offering free .info domain for every NOLIMIT developer and e-commerce plans bought with a minimum 12-month billing cycle.

The company says that offering the free .info domain, which is valued at $12.95, is a move to provide its customers with better value-added hosting service.

Host Department decided to offer this promotion to new customers signing up for their No Limit developer and ecommerce plans only, because of the greater demand in these areas. The promotional plans are available in both 12-months and 24-months billing cycles. Customers buying the 24-months billing option will also receive an additional six months of hosting for free.

“Developers can utilize the .info extension as a testing ground Web site or an area to host their résumés,” says O. Hagen, Host Department’s promotion Manager. “The promotion will run till the end of September, but if we find the response to this promotional rate is high, we may extend it further.”
