Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy announced on Wednesday that it has experienced large growth in sites secured by its SSL certificates, as reported by Netcraft.

During the month of April, the company added more SSL certificates than any other public certificate authority or Web hosting provider. Go Daddy’s SSL certificates secured 2,937 new sites in April. In their hosting infrastructure, Go Daddy expanded by 1,015 SSL-enabled sites, more than double the total of the next-best performers.
