Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy announced on Monday it is joining Hendrick Motorsports in sponsoring its first NASCAR team featuring two-time Nationwide Series driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. The Go Daddy No. 5 Earnhardt-designed race car will be revealed at noon today on the Go Daddy website.

Go Daddy will be the primary sponsor for the No. 5 NASCAR Nationwide Series Chevrolets for six events in 2008 featuring Earnhardt, along with Mark Martin and Ron Fellows. The domain registrar will also be an associate-level partner for the No. 5 cars all season. The cars will be fielded full-time by JR Motorsports in partnership with Hendrick Motorsports.

On April 5, 2008 at Texas Motor Speedway, Earnhardt, Jr. will be the first driver racing the black, green and orange No. 5 Go Daddy Chevrolet, designed by Earnhardt, Jr himself for Go Daddy. Mark Martin, the all-time leader in Nationwide victories, will be the second driver behind the wheel. Finally, Canadian road racing driver Ron Fellows will be third to drive the Go Daddy sponsored car.

“We are excited to join Hendrick Motorsports and JR Motorsports for our first NASCAR sponsorship,” says Bob Parsons, CEO and founder of Go Daddy. “It’s a natural fit. These guys are all about winning and being the best — that’s exactly what GoDaddy.com is about.”
