Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy announced on Monday it has selected Marisa Peck as its new Go Daddy Girl. One-hundred women showed up for the contest Friday, walking and dancing up the catwalk in hopes of becoming the next Go Daddy Girl.
Peck was handpicked by CEO and founder and contest emcee Bob Parsons himself, and was subsequently awarded $2500, a professional photo shoot and the chance to be in a Go Daddy TV commercial. The contest took place during Arizona Bike Week at the Hacienda Harley-Davidson 10th Annual Kickstart Party in Scottsdale, Arizona.
“Sometimes you discover the greatest treasures right in your own backyard,” says Parsons. “With so many great choices, it wasn’t easy selecting our winner. Remember, this is about more than just looks. This is about being edgy, racy and even a touch inappropriate. Marisa is definitely all that.”
To compete, contestants donned the Go Daddy tank top uniform, posed for photos and shared their most Go Daddy-esque experience. The women came from all across the nation including New York, Seattle and Miami. Parsons selected the first Go Daddy Girl, Candice Michelle, in a national talent search in 2004.
