Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Dotster said Friday that it had partnered with thawte to provide e-commerce customers with digital certificates.

The company says it will price thawte’s certificates aggressively, entering the market as the lowest-cost thawte reseller.

“From our inception, Dotster has operated on a model of providing the most innovative, advanced products at the lowest possible price and thawte’s digital security certificates are a perfect complement to the cost-effective business services we already offer,” says Clint Page, CEO of Dotster.

Doster will offer fully authenticated SSL certificates capable of 256-bit encryption, including thawte’s low-priced SSL123 Certificate, SSL Web Server Certificates, SGC SuperCerts and SSL Web Server Wildcard Certificates.
